Retired Sub Officer Barry Dowling RIP
It is with great sadness that we learn of the sudden passing of Retired Sub Station Officer Barry Dowling, Athlone Fire Station, Westmeath Fire & Rescue Service. Not only was Barry a member of the fire service for over 32years, he was also a fire service enthusiast helping us over many years with photos and information from Athlone and Westmeath in general.
There are a few people around the country who help us greatly with the website and the website wouldn't be what it is without them. Barry was one of those people. Our thoughts are with Barry's wife and children, extended family and friends and his former colleagues in Athlone, Westmeath and around the country. Thanks for everything Barry.
