Firefighters from Cahir Fire Station, County Tipperary attended a fire at Cahir Cattle Mart on Monday evening 23rd June. Alphas 1, 2 & Kilo 1 attended the scene. Its believed a number of offices were damaged. No injuries were reported

Cork City Fire Service Swift Water Rescue Technicians recover two men and a dog from a 2.5m inflatable boat at 03:15am near Lavitts Quay, Cork City on Monday 8th June. Firefighters from Limerick Fire Service attended the scene of a Fire in a Historic thatched house in Adare on Saturday afternoon 6th June which then spread to adjoing thatched houses. Crews from Limerick City, Rathkeale & Newcastle West attended the scene
Fire Crews from Rathkeale & Newcastle West were called back to the scene at 2:30am on Sunday Morning 7th June and were on scene till 7:00am to deal with another fire there

Rescue Helicopter 'Rescue 117' landed in the LZ in Cork at 16:10 Saturday 9th May with a patient who had severed his thumb. Agencies attending were Cork City Fire Brigade (CO11A1, CO11C1), Crosshaven Coastguard ground crews, Cork University Hospital (CUH) Security, Gardai and 1 HSE Ambulance. Patient was brought to CUH and R117 shut down on Local GAA pitch till 17:10hrs

Irish Coastguard Helicopter (Rescue 115) landed at the LZ in Cork at 12.30hrs on Sunday 19th April with an emergency transfer of a critical patient. At the LZ awaiting Rescue 115 was ground crews from the Coastguard, Cork City Fire Brigade's Alpha 1, Juliet 1, HSE Ambulance and Gardai.

Industrial accident in Shannon on Thursday the 26th March. Three units of Shannon Fire Service, National Ambulance Service, Gardaí and the Irish Coast Guard Service where involved in the incident. Two people where airlifted to the CUH in Cork City where they are been treated for burns.

Cork City Fire Brigade along with Gardai, National Ambulance Service, Irish Coastguard & RNLI attended a call for a male seen entering the river. He then sat upon a ledge under the Parnell Bridge for a number of hours while Garda Negotiators tried to talk him down. After 5 1/2 hrs later he was rescued from the bridge an arrested by Gardai

US Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker seen here during an Emergency Landing at Shannon on Friday 6th March. Shannon Airport Fire & Rescue Service & County Clare Fire & Rescue Service in attendence. When the aircraft landed it became stuck on the runway at Shannon without nose-wheel steering. It was later removed by tug.

A terrace of houses in O Malley Park in the South side of Limerick City where gutted by fire on Thursday the 5th of March. Several units of the fire service from Limerick City and County including an aerial platform attended the incident. Gardaí are to carry out an inquries as to the cause of the fire.

Cork City Firefighters rescued a trapped horse from a Blarney River on Monday 16th February. The horse is reported to have been trapped in the river for 2 days. ISPCA’s National Animal cruelty Helpline received a phone call from a concerned member of the public and they in turn contacted the Cork City Fire Brigade. The rescue effort took 2 hrs and the horse was rescued successfully.

The scene of a car transporter well alight on the M8 Motorway between J15 and J16 northbound on Wednesday the 4th of February. Four units of Cork County Fire and Rescue Service from Fermoy and Mitchelstown along with Four units of Cork City Fire Brigade including a water carrier attended the scene. Gardaí closed the Motorway for several hours untill the incident was dealt with.

Six units of Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service attended a major fire on the outskirts of Clonmel at around 11pm on Saturday the 30th of August. Major explosions where heard in the area and early reports suggest a shed housing machinery has gone up in flames

Fire at the Rainbow laundry on Francis St in Ennis. Three units of the fire service from Ennis responded to the incident and soon had the fire under control. It is beleived the fire started in a basket of clothing and is not thought to be suspicious.

A lorry full of bales of straw well alight on the N25 between Waterford City and New Ross at Glenmore at around 5pm. Units of the fire service from Waterford City and New Ross in Co Wexford attended the incident.

A major shopping centre in Cork had to be evacuated on Saturday 9th August when a fire broke out in one of its retail units. The alarm was raised at the Douglas Shopping Centre just before 2.00pm, and the centre, which includes branches of Tesco and Marks & Spencer, was cleared.
Four units of Cork City Fire Service responded to the fire which broke out in Leonard's Hair Salon, just inside the main door. There were no reports of any injuries
