The Health and Safety Authority visited the C&D Foods plant in Edgeworthstown, Co Longford on Monday 15th October, after an ammonia leak that led to the evacuation of the plant on Saturday 13th October. Units from Longford Fire Services were called to the pet food manufacturing plant after locals reported a strong smell of ammonia in the town and in a children's playing area near the plant. The fire services worked for four hours to help contain a leak of ammonia at the plant. Dublin 08/10/2012
Dublin Airport Fire & Rescue Service & the Dublin Fire Brigade at the scene of a blaze at Boland's vehicle recycling facility, on the Old Swords Road on Sunday night and Monday morning last. The fire reached such an intensity that Dublin Airport feared it might have to close its runways because of the smoke. Full Story:

Arklow Fire service were called to bales of hay that were set alight maliciously at a farm on the outskirts of Arklow on Thursday 20th Sept. Luckily the fire did not spread to nearby bales. County Wicklow

Gardaí are treating a fire which broke out in a pub in Dublin city centre on Saturday night 6th Oct as an accident. Around 40 people were in Bowe's Pub on Fleet Street when the blaze was noticed shortly after 9.30pm. The building was evacuated, and no-one was injured. It is understood the fire occurred in the basement and caused smoke damage to the pub. Fire Crews from Tara St. Station were in attendence. County Louth 03/10/2012

Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the Merrion Hotel in Dublin on Sunday night 30th Sept to a fire on the roof of the hotel. Staff & Guests were evacuated from the hotel and no injuries were reported. County Wicklow

Fire Crews from Louth County Council Fire & Rescue on scene at a fire which was confined and no one was injured in the Ard Dealgan apartments in Quay Street, Dundalk, Co Louth, on Sunday 9th September which was reported at 6.30pm and extinguished 90 minutes later. Dublin 19/08/2012
More than a dozen emergency personnel took part in a dramatic rescue operation early Sunday 19th August when five people including three gardai were plucked from the steep banks of the Royal Canal after a young woman fell 30 feet into the water. In total, 19 officers from the Dublin Fire Brigade stations at Blanchardstown and Phibsborough including its Swift Water Rescue and Highline Rope Rescue units took part in the two-hour rescue that began shortly after 1am. Irelands Olympians came home to Dublin on Monday (13/08/2012) aboard Aer Lingus Airbus A321 registration EI-CPG. Dublin Airport Fire & Rescue Tenders were in attendance to salute the aircraft on arrival which was carrying Ireland's 5 Olympic Medal Winners

While operating the "AA139" from London Heathrow to New York JFK yesterday 17/07/2012, this flight declared a medical emergency just as it was about to commence its North Atlantic crossing. The flight requested to divert to Dublin Airport and is seen here arriving at Dublin, Ireland where emergency services were on standby.

The scene of the Bus Eireann fire on the M1 North at the Toll plaza outside Drogheda on the 10/07/2012. One occupant of the bus was removed to Our lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda and the 10 other people on board made there way off the bus and were catered for at the toll plaza by staff. Extensive damage was caused to a pub on the south side of Dublin when a fire broke out at 4am on the morning of Sunday 24th of June. Several units of the Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the scene of the Merrion Inn in Dublin 4. It took several hours to bring the fire under control. County Wicklow 24/06/2012

Fire at the Panda waste facility on the outskirts of Slane Co Meath. Eight units of the Fire Service from Meath and Louth attended the scene at the hight of the blaze. Units remained at the scene for up to 36hrs after the fire was brought under control. Up to 700 tonnes of recycled waste was involved in the blaze.

Three units from Drogheda and Dunleer fire service attended the scene of a fire in a commercial building on the Ballymakenny road on saturday afternoon the 16/06/2012. It is believed a truck went on fire in the building, Fire fighters using breathing apparatus extinguished the fire County LouthScene of a serious chimmney fire at Rathescar Castle attended to by units of the Fire Service from Dunleer and Drogheda. Also in attendenance was the RCFO Maintenance Wagon on fire on the Main Dublin to Belfast railway line just south of Dunleer. Units of the Fire Service from Dunleer and Drogheda attended the scene.
