Residents in the Holmpatrick Area of Skerries, County Dublin had a lucky escape after high tide and big waves caused flooding in the area on Monday 3rd February. Flooding has now started to receded at the Mall North Quay, Donors Green, The Marsh Road, Wellington Quay and Ship Street following another storm overnight. High Tide has passed. Rescue Technicians from the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service were out all morning giving advice to the residents of the affected areas and assisting Drogheda Borough Council in closing roads, to try prevent more flooding of local businesses.

Scene of an incident on the Dundalk bypass on Monday 27th January. A van had caught fire at 21:45 hrs and two units of the fire service from Dundalk attended the scene. Dublin 25th January 2014
Scene of a major fire at the Oxigen Environmental Plant in Ballymount, Dublin in the early hours of Saturday 25th January. The fire was reported to the fire service at around 03.15hrs. At the hight of the blaze 13 units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene. The area around the fire has now been closed to the public and diversions are in place. Gardai are also asking people in the area of the fire to keep their windows and doors closed due to toxic smoke from the fire. Clanbrassil Street in Dundalk suffered another huge blow in the early hours of Monday morning 23rd December when the Greenmount Restaurant was extensively damaged by fire. A Dublin City hotel had to be evacuated after a fire broke out in its kitchens. More than 30 guests and some 10 staff had to leave the Celtic Lodge Hotel on Talbot St whe the fire started at around 05.30hrs. Four units from Dublin Fire Brigade were on scene within minutes as well as a number of Ambulances. No one was injured in the blaze but there was extensive smoke damage to the building.

The scene from the Kylemore Road at Labra Park in Dublin on Tuesday 3rd December after a donkey became stuck in the canal. The DSPCA (Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) attended the scene first but required the assistance of the Dublin Fire Brigade. "Nicola" as she was later named is suffering from hypothermia as a result of being in the water a long time but should make a full recovery. On Tuesday 19th November while operating the United Airlines Flight UA949 from London Heathrow to Chicago O'Hare airport, this aircraft diverted into Dublin having declared a medical emergency while just after crossing the Irish coast and starting its oceanic crossing. It was met upon arrival by the Dublin Airport Fire & Rescue Service & Airport Police Service

Dublin Fire Brigade attended a blaze earlier today at the popular Japanese café Yamamori Izakaya on South Great George’s Street. The fire started in the basement area of the building, which has a Japanese café on the ground floor and a bar downstairs, at around 1.30pm today. It is understood that there was significant damage to the basement area in two rooms with four units of the fire service attending from Dolphins Barn and Tara Street. County Kildare 2nd November 2013
The scene of a fire in the West Grove Hotel in Clane County Kildare last night (Saturday 2nd November). More than 60 guests were evacuated including early arrivals for a function for the local soccer club where pundit John Giles was scheduled to guest. Dublin Firefighters spent over 5 hours battling a blaze in Coolock Ind. Estate on Tuesday 8th October. There were 6 Pumps, 2 Aerial Appliances, Water Tanker, Command Support and othe support units in attendance. At the same time, 4 appliances fought a fire in a row of 4 derelict houses in nearby Darndale. No injuries were reported Dublin

Arklow fire service were alerted on the 10/09/2013 at 04.30hrs to a river rescue at the Avoca river when a number of people were reported missing after getting into difficulty at the North Quay near Arklow Shipping. Members of the fire service along with the RNLI recovered one male from the river shortly after arriving on scene. The search operation involved crews from the Fire Service, RNLI, Coast Guard, HSE Ambulance Service Gardai and the Coast Guard Search and Rescue Helicopter.

Scene of an incident in Clougherhead in which a Lady fell from rocks while walking the coast line. She was treated at the scene by members of the fire service from Dunleer while awaiting for the Ambulance service. The casualty was the removed from the scene of the incident by members of the fire service and members of Clogherhead coast guard service.

The scene at Clontarf DART Station on Friday 16th August. The woman was struck by a train travelling north at Clontarf road station and was seriously injured. Emergency services attended the scene and the injured woman was taken to hospital where she is said to be in a serious condition. Dublin 14th August 2013
United Airlines flight UA131 made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport on Wednesday 14th August following a "Mechanical Issue". The flight landed safely at 14.29pm and was met by Dublin Airport Fire & Rescue Service upon landing and Dublin Fire Brigade also sent appliances. Scene of a Minibus fire at Ballyraine on the Vale Rd in Arklow on Monday 5th August. It is understood that one vehicle belonging to Sunbeam House was destroyed by fire and minor damage was caused to buildings and vehicles parked nearby. Six units of the Dublin Fire Brigade brought a small fire under control immediately at the DT Hotel (former Burlington Hotel) on Wednesday 7th August. Nobody was injured and guests were allowed back inside an hour later. It was the 2nd fire incident there in a week Dublin 31st July 2013
8 units of the Dublin Fire Brigade attended a fire at Dublins DT Hotel (former Burlington Hotel) just outside the City Centre on Wednesday afternoon 31st July. There is currently building work on going at the hotel and it is not known if the building work was the cause of the fire County Louth 27th July 2013
