Thankfully, no serious injuries were sustained by the patients involved. An Ambulance was struck by a car in a hit-and-run incident in Drogheda, Co Louth on Wednesday 6th July. Gardai confirmed that the driver of the car left the scene after the vehicle, a wine coloured Ford Mondeo, struck the front of the ambulance on the Bridge of Peace in the town at approximately 3.25 pm.

Both vehicles were suspected of being involved in a House Burglary in the Lucan Area and 2 people were arrested after being Rescued
