Airport Crash Crews,backed up by units of the local authority fire service from Shannon Town were on standby after a US Air Force C130 Transport had to divert to Shannon Airport.

This private Boeing 767 suffered and engine flameout on landing and a second one when it tried to depart later on Tuesday 12th June. CE12 in attedance. CE11 mobilised but stood down.
