County Mayo 26th April 2024
Castlebar Fire Brigade responded to the scene of a vehicle fire in Newtown, Castlebar, Friday afternoon 26th April. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, and the fire was extinguished and car removed. ~The Connacht Telegraph

County Mayo 31st October 2023
On Tuesday 31st October Mayo County Fire Service were mobilised to the scene of a building collapse in the village of Kilkelly shortly after 9am. The building was a pub which had rented accommodation above the pub. Five people were inside the building at the time and removed to hospital with whats believed to be non life threatening injuries.

Galway City 8th February 2023
Late Wednesday evening 8th February Galway Fire Brigade HQ were mobilized to an industrial building with heavy smoke showing from the rear. On arrival it was discovered that 3 separate delivery vans had caught fire. Crews worked quickly to ensure that the fire didn't progress into the delivery depot and minimised the damage as best they could. ~Fire & Rescue Service FB
Galway City 12th Janaury 2023
Galway Fire & Rescue Service were called to a house fire in Mervue Thursday morning 12th Janaury. Crews from Red Watch Galway City, Galway City Retained and Athenry attended the incident. The occupants were rescued by a quick thinking neighbour.

Swift water rescue technicians (SRT's) from Gort fire station responded to a male stuck in a 4x4 in flood waters in Rinnrush, Gort, County Galway on Wednesday 11th January. SRT's deployed an inflatable boat to reach the stranded vehicle which had the male on the roof of the car. Fire crews from three stations dealt with a major fire at a commercial premises in County Galway on Friday 16th September. The blaze was reported at around 11.30am at the Xerotech facility in the Claregalway Corporate Park in Claregalway. Units of Galway Fire and Rescue Service from Galway City, Athenry and Tuam stations attended the fire while crews from Athenry were dispatched to the city to provide cover there. ~The Clare Herald Galway City 23rd August 2022

At 17.59 Sunday evening 27th March Achill Island Coast Guard were tasked to assist Achill Island Fire Service and Westport Fire Service due to a serious fire on Inishbiggle. Their D-Class boat crew ferried members of the The Fire Service Crew and their equipment from Bullsmouth Pier to the Island. After several hours the fire came under control, was quenched and their unit was stood down at 23.15. ~Achill Island Coast Guard

Three units of Sligo Fire Service including water tanker and aerial platform seen attending a fire at Greenstar Recycling Depot at Deepwater Quay Finisklin, Sligo on Monday 8th June. An Aerial Platform from Carrick on Shannon (Leitrim Fire Service) also deployed. Households and businesses in Sligo town and immediate environs are requested to close the windows to their premises. Deepwater Quay and Far Finisklin Road closed to traffic, diversions in place via First Sea Road and Finisklin Industrial estate People are requested not make any unnecessary journeys within a 5km radius of Sligo town until the fire is under control.~ Sligo County Council
